Fairmont Hotels & Resorts have just announced a 270-room Fairmont Abuja. The hotel will be developed by Asset Management Group (AMG), and is expected to open in 2019. This follows the 220-room Fairmont Lagos, also an AMG project, which was announced in 2014.

The Lagos Fairmont is being developed at the Harbor Point, Victoria Island as a mixed-use development named Fairmont Hotel & Residences at Wilmot Point. It will include an eight story hospital, a 20-story office building with a top floor club/restaurant and a 20-story hotel/residential towel that will have a conference center, spa, art gallery and retail base. The development will connect, via a pedestrian bridge, to the proposed adacent marina, which will also contain an Ocean Study Institute, aquarium, shops and seaside restaurant. The Lagos Fairmont is designed by Perkins Eastman, an international planning, design and consulting firm.
